导语:OPENING SPEECH OF HIS EXCELLENCY MR. T.BADRAL, AMBASSADOR FOR THE RECEPTION HELD ON “THE 102TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE NATIONAL REVOLUTION AND NATIONAL NAADAM FESTIVAL OF MONGOLIA”
Your Excellency Mr. Sun Weidong, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People Republic of China,
Your Excellency Ambassadors and diplomats,
Dear guests, ladies and gentlemen,
I would like to thank you all for attending tonight’s reception to celebrate the 102nd anniversary of the Mongolian people’s revolution and the Mongolian Naadam festival.
Using this opportunity, I’d like to express my special gratitude to our distinguished guest His Excellency Mr. Sun Weidong, Vice Minister and colleagues from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs for taking the time to attend today's event.
Ladies and gentlemen,
The Mongolian Naadam Festival is inherited from our ancestors and is a symbol of Mongolia’s statecraft and sovereignty, national unity, freedom, history, and cultural and spiritual heritage of the people of Mongolia.
For centuries, the Mongolians have thrived in the vast plateau of Central Asia, preserving the wisdom, rich culture, and unique heritage of our ancestors. As proud custodians of the great nomadic traditions, we come together to celebrate our one and only Mongol Naadam. During this grand occasion, we proudly raise our nation's Nine White Banners under the Eternal Blue Sky, admire the Sun, accompanied by our melodic long song and our hearts are filled with full of joy as we delight in the magnificent eagle dance of mighty wrestlers, who bring happiness to the earth, mountains, and people, witness the galloping of runner horses across the vast plains, as well as listen to the sound of master archers' arrows whistling through the blue sky.
It has been 102 years since we held our first Naadam Festival celebrating the establishment of the independent state of Mongolia through the struggle for national freedom and independence in 1911 and the victory of the People's Revolution in 1921.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Mongolia and China are eternal neighbors.
Developing long-term and sustainable relations and mutually beneficial cooperation with China is one of the top priorities of Mongolia's foreign policy. We are pleased to note that our countries mutually recognize the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of each other, respect each other's chosen development path, and consistently develop mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The relationship between our two countries, which spanned two centuries, has overcome the challenges of history for 74 years, and the cooperation is continuously enriched with new opportunities and new content.
In recent years, even during the difficult times of the Covid-19 pandemic, the relations between the two countries have remained active, high-level mutual visits and talks have become regular, political trust and mutual understanding have strengthened, and humanitarian exchanges and cooperation have increased.
A few days ago, Mongolian Prime Minister H.E L.Oyun-Erdene paid a successful visit to China. This official visit provided significant impetus for the expansion of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. In addition to intensifying the implementation of large infrastructure and energy projects, both countries have agreed to fight against climate change, desertification, yellow dust storms, and corruption. Moreover, detailed discussions were held on expanding cooperation between private entities, initiating collaboration in the fields of science, technology, and urban planning, and fostering cooperation in tourism, investment, and the private sector.
Ladies and gentlemen,
The Embassy of Mongolia in China will continue to carry out the consensuses reached at the highest level between Mongolia and China as part of its main mission of implementing Mongolia's foreign policy while expanding relations and cooperation with about 100 embassies accredited to Mongolia with residence in the People's Republic of China. It is with great enthusiasm that we pledge to collaborate closely with all of you gathered here today, making every effort to foster fruitful partnerships.
Finally, let me extend also my best wishes for the Naadam Festival to all our Mongolian compatriots who have joined us today. Happy Naadam!
I wish you all the very best and the continued strengthening of our friendly relations and cooperation.
I hope you all enjoy this evening.
Thank you very much for your attention.
