On June 4, the 4th Forum of Analytical Centers "Central Asia – China" will be held in Tashkent on the topic: "Mutually beneficial cooperation on the path to shared prosperity and sustainable development".
The event is organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional studies under the President of Uzbekistan in partnership with the Institute for Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
The forum is held as part of the practical implementation of the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, announced in May 2023 at the summit of the Heads of State of China and Central Asian countries in Xi’an.
The event will be attended by more than 40 heads and experts from about 20 leading research and analytical centers, heads of diplomatic missions of PRC and Central Asia countries in Uzbekistan.
The agenda of the forum includes a discussion of the current state of cooperation between China and the countries of Central Asia, prospects for deepening multilateral cooperation in the field of industrial cooperation, digitalization, green economy, as well as in the transport, logistics and innovation spheres.
Based on the results of the forum, the parties will identify new points of contact between the interests of the PRC and the Central Asian countries, identify current areas of cooperation and develop specific proposals in order to significantly strengthen multilateral interaction.
