At the outset, I would like to extend my warmest greetings to all of you and convey my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the National Naadam Festival and the 104th anniversary of the People’s Revolution of Mongolia. I also wish to express my sincere appreciation for your presence at today’s reception.
On this day, the people of Mongolia are commemorating the 2234th anniversary of founding the first Statehood of Mongolia, the 819th anniversary of the establishment of the Great Mongol Empire, and the 114th anniversary of the National Liberation and Restoration of Independence.
The National Naadam Festival is not only a symbol of Mongolian statehood and independence, but also embodies the unity, freedom, history, cultural heritage, and values of the Mongolian nation. Furthermore, it is recognized as an important part of the cultural heritage of humanity.
Distinguished guests,
Mongolia and China share a longstanding friendship as eternal neighbors connected by mountains and rivers. Over the past 76 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, our two countries have achieved steady and enduring progress in bilateral cooperation which overcame various challenges of the times.
In recent years, our bilateral ties have entered a new phase, as the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Mongolia and China becoming a model for relations between neighboring countries.
We are pleased that the partnership is based on equality, mutual respect, and mutually beneficial cooperation, regardless of the size or capacity of our two countries as well as numerous joint projects and programs have been successfully implemented across various sectors, bringing tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries.
Over the past year, we have successfully carried out several mutual high-level visits. These visits have provided an important impetus for enriching the Mongolia-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with new connotation, implementing the agreements reached between our Heads of State, deepening political trust, and expanding trade and economic cooperation.
In particular, I would like to highlight the signing of the Intergovernmental Agreement on the cross-border railway connection between Gashuunsukhait and Gantsmod—one of Mongolia's 14 major development projects—during the official visit of the Prime Minister of Mongolia to China in February of this year.
This project marks the establishment of the second cross-border railway between Mongolia and China since 1955 and it represents a historically remarkable development. Once this connectivity becomes operational, it is expected to significantly increase Mongolia’s coal export capacity and generate approximately USD 1.5 billion in additional revenue for the economy of Mongolia.
Over the past year, bilateral trade and economic cooperation between our two countries has expanded significantly. In 2024, the total trade turnover reached USD 18 billion, showing an increase compared to the same period of the previous year is a clear indication of how our cooperation is growing.
Furthermore, the Mongolian side attaches particular importance on strengthening cooperation in the mining, transport, and infrastructure sectors. We are committed to working together to increase coal exports and to establish long-term and stable conditions for the export of mining products from Mongolia to China.

Mongolia pursues a peaceful, open, independent and multi-pillared foreign policy. Nowadays, the geopolitical situation is becoming increasingly strained and complex, negatively impacting global and regional security, while deepening misunderstandings among nations. In such times, it is vital to remember that “compassion is the foundation of all good deeds,” and that resolving conflicts through unity and peaceful dialogue is the most effective path forward.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
While deepening its relations with neighboring countries, Mongolia has consistently and resolutely expanded its peaceful and mutually beneficial relations and cooperation with its ‘third neighbors’—one of the key pillars of our foreign policy according to the principle that does not affect the interests of any party in any way.
I would also like to highlight the role of the Embassy of Mongolia in the People’s Republic of China, which has maintained a vital bridge for international relations and collaboration with more than a hundred countries whose embassies are concurrently accredited to Mongolia from Beijing.

I extend my warmest greetings to all our fellow Mongolians gathered here today on the occasion of Naadam Festival while reaffirm our commitment to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of Mongolian citizens living, working, and studying in China, and to supporting the activities of our business entities.
In conclusion, I extend my best wishes to all of you. May the enduring friendship and fruitful cooperation between Mongolia and China as well as all other countries continue to grow and prosper.
